Delete your Redstring account

Redstring is published by HOLO (HOLO OTOMOTİV TURİZM İTHALAT İHRACAT SANAYİ TİCARET LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ). This page is how to remove your Redstring account, and says what goes with it and what stays.

In the app

Open Redstring, then Settings, then Data & privacy, then Delete account, and confirm. If you signed in with a password, the app may ask for it once more first. Everything listed below is deleted at once. You can do this before you have linked with a partner too.

By e-mail

If you no longer have the app, write to the address below from the e-mail address you signed in with, with the subject "Redstring account deletion". We delete the account and its data within 30 days and reply when it is done. We may ask one question to make sure the request comes from the account’s owner; we never ask for a password.

What is deleted

• Your cycle data: every logged day, your sharing settings and your notes.
• Your private to-do lists, expenses and receipts.
• Everything the two of you shared: the chat with its photos, voice messages and videos, the gallery and the vault, games and their photos, plans, lists, money, recipes, films, goals, places, gifts and hearts. Your partner keeps their own account, but this shared history goes with yours.
• Your profile and your partner status, and the copies the widgets keep on your phone.
• Your sign-in in Firebase Authentication.

What stays, and for how long

• Purchases are records Google Play or the App Store keep under your store account, not us; they are unaffected by deleting the Redstring account.
• The couple record is emptied rather than removed, so your partner’s app returns them to the pairing screen. All it keeps is when it ended and the random identifier your deleted account had, which no longer leads to anyone.
• Nothing else is kept after deletion: there is no backup copy on our side, except where the law makes us keep something, and then only for as long as it says.
